One-Time Passcode

The one-time passcode is a security feature implemented by the web portal.

When certain changes are made to your account, such as using the Forgot Password function to sign in, the web portal uses a one-time passcode security feature to verify your identity.

A six-digit numeric code is sent to the email address or phone number on file with LexisNexis® Risk Solutions. This passcode should be entered in the proper field within the web portal, when you are prompted, to complete the process.

You can update or change the email address or phone number used to communicate the one-time passcode at any time using the following steps:

Procedure:
  1. Point your mouse cursor to your name, in the upper right corner of any screen. Select Account Settings from the drop-down menu.
  2. From the Personal Account Settings screen, navigate to the One Time Passcode and Contact Information section of the screen.
  3. Enter the email address or phone number you want to use for your one-time passcode communications. Use the Default radio button to select the preferred communication method.
  4. Click Save & Continue.
note.pngYou must enter your password for changes to take effect, even if you have not changed your password. For example, if you have changed your security image, you will still need to enter your current password in the Current Password field before the system will let you save your changes.
